At Pamela Love, inclusiveness, love, and equality is our code. We want to make sure that we take every necessary step to educate ourselves and ensure that we are an anti-racist organization. In response to the heartbreaking and inhuman murder of George Floyd and the light it has shed on the injustices and inherent racism that our society perpetuates, we have come together to examine our practices and strive to do better wherever and however we can. The PL team has come together to outline the following commitments.

Immediate actions:

  • For the month of June, we are donating 10% of all jewelry sales and 100% of all candle sales to Campaign Zero (joincampaignzero.org) and Black Lives Matter (blacklivesmatter.com). Campaign Zero works to provide policy solutions for police reform to help decrease police brutality.

Long term actions:

  • having and maintaining a workforce that is at a minimum of 25% people of color.

  • maintaining diverse model casting for all of our photoshoots, with 40% of the models that represent our brand being people of color.

  • ensuring that the talent we employ externally, from photographers and stylists to business consultants and influencers is diverse

  • launching 4 products a year whose proceeds will go to charity. The first of these is scheduled to launch in about 8 weeks-we are committing to donating a percentage of proceeds to The Love Land Foundation therapy fund - which provides financial assistance to black women and girls seeking therapy nationally.

  • improving our supply chain to ensure that we are always supporting diverse communities and artisans of color around the globe as well as here in NYC.

  • all employees will receive 4 paid hours a month to volunteer for a charitable organization of their choosing.

  • amplifying black voices on our blog and on our social media channels.

  • we will not work with wholesale partners (stores) who have a brand roster that doesn’t include a reasonable percentage of black-owned businesses.

We recognize that this is just a start and that we will most likely be adding to this list through the coming weeks and months. We welcome dialogue, suggestions, and questions from you our Pamela Love community. We are committed to the fight against racism. Not just for today and not just for this month. This is a lifelong commitment. We are here for it.
