Firmly entrenched in the American Southwest and Mexico, Sueño (Spanish for dream) is inspired by Frida Kahlo's work and personal style, and her close friend, American jewelry designer and the "Father of Mexican Silver", William Spratling. Drawing from the foundations of Kahlo's legacy and Spratling's craft, this collection combines the stories of these two friends with the larger breadth of cultural history and iconography from the border states in the early 20th Century, to create a collection rich with history and filled with dreams.
The arrowheads used in our jewelry are made through a technique called knapping. Knapping is the shaping of flint, obsidian, or other stones through the process of lithic reduction. We work with master knappers to create special arrowheads in unique materials. The arrowhead are then bezel set in sterling silver. Each piece is one of a kind and completely unique.
Archive is a collection of some of our favorite one of a kind pieces, runway pieces, and special projects. All pieces in this selection were produced in very limited runs or are one of a kind.
